Siberian larch is a tree with exceptionally rare qualities. This wood is one of the most weather-resistant tree species, being at least two times more durable than spruce or pine. Over time, rot resistance of larch-wood is increasing- it gains strength and durability.

Siberian larch durability is determined by its growth conditions and special resin composition. In extreme weather conditions a slow-growing tree has a very dense structure, which makes the wood harder and more resistant to external shocks. Larch resin is evenly divided between wood fiber and works as a good antiseptic: protects wood against moisture, fungal diseases and insects – pests.

In a long term larch retains all the characteristics of high-quality wood even without chemical treatment. Larch planks used in external applications without any treatment may eventually change the color, but will not lose its properties. Deep yellow, reddish color can be maintained using natural protective oils on wood. Siberian larch is irreplaceable if the chemical treatment of wood structures is not allowed, but resistance to weathering is necessary, for example, building children playgrounds.
